Samuel Yaw Akomea is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and International Business at the Department of Marketing and Corporate Strategy, KNUST School of Business of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He teaches courses in International Business Management, Strategic Consulting, Marketing Management, International Marketing, Innovative Entrepreneurship and Law-related courses in Business and across the university. Sam shows keen interest in online teaching collaborations such as the X-Culture International Students Project, and simulation Capstones (Country Manager). Currently Sam Akomea is the acting Head of KNUST’s Center for Business Development as well as the Manager of the Kumasi Business Incubator, the first university incubator in Ghana. Sam Akomea holds an Mphil. in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School and currently pursuing a PhD in International Business at Aalborg University, Denmark. He is also a Legal Practitioner with 10 years’ experience at the Ghana Bar. Prior to joining KNUST, Sam worked as a Management Consultant in Accra; he shows interests in Start-ups, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises development in Africa and has strong networking relationship with industry (Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Ghana Association of Bankers (GAB), Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Ghana Employers Association (GEA), Association of Small Scale Industries, (ASSI) etc). Sam is interested in promoting South-South Co-operation and has a good working relationship with Business Schools in Nigeria, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, and South Africa). He has been a member of the Academy of International Business since 2006.
