Admission Process
Every year, the KSB Admissions Committee carefully selects approximately 700 diverse, talented students out of over a thousand applications. On this page we offer you guidelines to our transparent admissions process in order to give you an insider’s perspective on our MBA, MSc and MPhil admissions and evaluation process.
Admission Requirements
Specific admission requirements will depend on the programme and level you are applying for. Please refer to the programmes page to review applications requirements for your chosen programme.
Submitting Your Application
You may begin your online application at any time during the admissions process. You can add to and edit any information on your application until you submit the completed application. All information, including supporting documentation, must arrive at the related KNUST Office by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline date. Late submissions may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.(Please use hyperlink to online applications)
Checking Your Status
At each step of the application and admissions process, you may check your status on the online application system.
Admissions Interview
Interviews are by invitation only, after a thorough review of your completed application. Invitation to attend admission interviews is done via text message. In some cases follow up calls are also made. All invited applicants are to come along with original copies of all academic certificates. Interviews are conducted in Kumasi at the Business School Faculty Building behind College of Engineering. All interviews carry equal weight in the admissions process. No applicant is admitted without an interview.
Preparing for your admissions interview at KSB
As someone selected to interview from a highly qualified group of both domestic and international applicants, this is an opportunity for you to communicate your background, your interests, your plans, and your decision to pursue an MBA, MSc or MPhil at KSB. All invited applicants will have the option of interviewing on KSB campus. We do not hold admission interviews in other cities.
The best way to prepare for your interview is by first making sure that you have all original copies of your certificates in your possession. You will have to show this at the interview. If you don’t bring this along your admission will be put on hold until you produce original certificates. The next logical step is for you to match your academic and professional background with the programme or specialization you want to pursue at KSB. You should be able to articulate your professional objectives and how a degree at KSB will help you achieve those objectives. Moreover, as a potential manager, you should be aware of the environment around you in terms of general affairs and prevailing economic issues in Ghana and abroad plus at least an introductory knowledge about the specialization area you want to pursue.
Admissions Decisions
Admissions decisions are announced via text message and in some cases follow up calls are made. Admissions decisions will also reflect when you check the status of your admission on the online system.
