The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) School of Business proudly announces the appointment of one of its distinguished alumni, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, as Ghana's Minister for Finance Designate. President John Dramani Mahama submitted Dr. Forson's nomination to the Speaker of Parliament on January 9, 2025, in accordance with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
Dr. Forson, who completed his PhD in Finance at KNUST, exemplifies the academic excellence and leadership potential fostered by our institution. His appointment marks a significant milestone in his already impressive career as an economist, chartered accountant, and tax practitioner.
A five-term lawmaker, Dr. Forson brings to his new role extensive expertise in public finance, macroeconomics, fiscal policy, and business management. His academic journey includes a Master of Science degree in Taxation and Economics from the University of Oxford, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from London South Bank University.
