The Examination Coordinating Team of the KNUST School of Business (KSB), chaired by Prof. K.O. Appiah, recently conducted an examination workshop to ensure a smooth and credible end-of-semester examination process. The examinations, which commenced on April 7, 2025, are vital for assessing students' academic competencies and readiness for the contemporary business environment.
The workshop, led by KSB Examinations Officer Dr. Joseph A. Agana, highlighted the essential roles and responsibilities of faculty and administrators involved in examination invigilation. With approximately 46 faculty members and administrators attending, Dr. Agana emphasized the importance of maintaining strict integrity and vigilance during the examination process to uphold the credibility and reliability of student assessments.
Dr. Agana also addressed the potential consequences associated with examination misconduct, clearly outlining the applicable sanctions for any faculty member or administrator who compromises examination integrity. Participants were encouraged to adhere strictly to established protocols to maintain the overall integrity of the assessment process.
Since examinations began, faculty and administrators have consistently demonstrated a commitment to transparency and integrity, which has significantly contributed to the smooth progression of each examination session. Discussions around integrating advanced technology into future examination management practices were also highlighted, indicating progressive steps toward modernizing examination procedures at KSB.
Overall, the workshop successfully reinforced the critical roles and responsibilities of faculty and administrators, ensuring examinations continue to reflect the high standards expected at KSB.
